Hey peeps. Here's the 2nd edition of the guitarist series. In this edition I'm gonna talk about Home Recording Studio. I'm sure a lot of you heard about Home Recording Studio where you make your own recording studio with the latest technology. But in this edition, I'm talking about the Cheapest Home Recording Studio can be done at your own house right now! Muahahaha... I'm sure this is a very good news to most of you who wanted to record your own album at home!

Well, at my house, I have a set of Desktop PC which I use for playing my games, online checking my emails, chatting etc, and as well playing my music and backing tracks. Recently, I've upgraded my personal computer to 2.5 Gigs of RAM for better performance since I'm setting up a Home Recording Studio.

Now, I understand most of you who have little budget but wanted to set up a Home Recording Studio, and you guys must have been scratching your head trying to find more money. Erhem... Before I go in more details on explaining on budget, try to guess how much I've spent on my Home Recording Studio. Well, my computer, sound card and recording equipments are all set except for my recording studio sound proofing and other recording facilities... ... I've spent only a total of RM 500. And if you doubt about my recording quality, check out my streaming audio files I've include in this episode. I was surprised too at first when I playback my first guitar home recording. My own SIFU was shocked to heard such quality with just simple recording equipments. Well, just listen to the sound quality and say nothing about the guitar playing. LOL... Cuz it wasn't for music purposes anyway XP, it's only some examples I use to test my recording quality. And the fact is, I'm actually using my first acoustic guitar which is a KAPOK cheap ass guitar made in CHINA!!! XD

I've spent RM 250 on an Altec Lansing 2.1 channel audio system in addition of my old audio system which is an Eacan 2.1 channel too, (Altogether gives an audio output of 4.2 channel) I use both audio system at once, it sounded pretty much like a recording studio specs audio system. LOL. RM 200 on my sound mixer which has 6 basic input and a microphone I made myself by using the microphone I took out from a broken 50 bucks Logitech Headphone.

After setting all the equipments required, I got my recording software from a free download website, it's called NHC Sound MixPad which is a multi-tracks recording software and a very easy to use software for a beginner like me. XD Well, if you're searching for a more advance and professional recording software, I have a few friends who operate professional recording studio and they all uses a software call Sonar 8 by CakeWalk which I haven't try, gonna try it soon, and it's really good cuz it has more effects and functions of course compared to MixPad that I've been using all the while but it's more complicated since it's for advance user.

Alright, banyak banyak cakap teda guna, bagus ko dengar sajalar apa yang sia record. Kalau tidak sedap, hope don't mind kie. These are just short sound clips to test the sound quality so hope you guys don't mind.

Any comment, please do place it on my ChatBox. Thank you! =)
